Maryland has filed a lawsuit vs. the owners of the cargo ship that collided with and took down the Francis Scott Key Bridge in March.

The state of Maryland has added to the legal troubles facing the owner and operator of the container ship Dali, which caused the deadly collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge after the massive vessel experienced an ill-timed electrical blackout and other failures.

The state attorney general’s office said that the government and residents of Maryland had suffered “tremendous costs and damages” since the Dali container ship destroyed the bridge on March 26.
