The 2021 iPad Mini is still one of the most powerful compact tablets with iPadOS 18 compatibility, which includes new features like Home Screen customization and Math Notes. The baseline 2024 iPad Mini ships with 128GB of storage, while the previous version only had 64GB of storage.

After three years since its last release, Apple unveils a new iPad Mini with significant upgrades, including Apple Pencil Pro support, larger storage, and AI capabilities, starting at $499.

A new iPad Mini was expected by the end of the year, and much like we predicted, Apple delivered one. Not a lot has changed in terms of design, but the new Mini has an A17 Pro chip that can handle soon-to-launch generative AI-based Apple Intelligence features, as well as Pencil Pro compatibility.
