India finished top of Group A after beating Sri Lanka in a top-of-the-table clash on Thursday, while West Indies secured their spot in the Super Six stage of the Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup 2025 by knocking out Malaysia.

Niki Prasad's India advanced to the Super Sixes without a loss, securing a 60-run victory over Sri Lanka on Thursday at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur.

After resumpition, India managed to reach 48-3 at the halfway point with Trisha Gongadi anchoring the innings being 29* off 29 balls. Sri Lanka piled the pressure in the second half picking six wickets, but India managed to add 70 runs in the final 10 to set a target of 119.

Sri Lanka were eventually restricted to 58 for nine in 20 overs as India finished the group engagements with all-win record in three matches.
