Trucks and trailers filled with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene — fallen tree limbs, drenched mattresses, drywall from destroyed homes — waited in line for two hours to get into GFL Environmental’s transfer station in Largo on Thursday.

Pinellas County officials say cleanup and recovery efforts will continue to take time in areas hit hard by Hurricane Helene.

With all the destruction from Hurricane Helene, an unimaginable amount of storm debris is piled along neighborhoods, including in Pinellas County.
