Florida has a calm few tropical days ahead and cooler weather but a system in the Atlantic could develop by the end of the week, forecasters said.

The National Hurricane Center is keeping track of a system in the Atlantic forecast to approach the Caribbean this week, and a second already in the Caribbean that could form into the season’s next tropical depression or storm.

The National Hurricane Center is monitoring a tropical wave in the central Atlantic that has a moderate chance of developing later this week.

"Some gradual development is possible if the system stays over water while it moves slowly northwestward," the NHC said.
