Apple is reusing the iPhone 15 Pro's A17 Pro chip for the iPad mini 7, but it's not quite the same chip - here's what's different.

After three long years (and one long month) of waiting, Apple has finally unveiled the 7th-gen iPad mini. It did so today in a press release rather than holding a media event, and the reasons for this diffidence become apparent when you see how much, or rather how little, has changed.

Apple on Tuesday launched its new generation of the iPad mini packed with AI features including writing tools and an improved Siri assistant, as the iPhone maker races to boost its devices with artificial-intelligence capabilities.
