As the season wears on, it's become clear that the Big Ten is about four teams — Oregon, Ohio State, Indiana and Penn State — and the rest.

League-wide, the only hot team outside of the four heavyweights is UCLA, which has won three straight and moved up from 17th in these power rankings to eighth in the process. No one can accuse this Big Ten of being strong from top to bottom. Speaking of which, let’s take it from the bottom (all times Central):

The 2024 college football season is going quickly in the new, improved, and expanded Big Ten, and each time out provides additional data points and eyeball tests to try and figure out the pecking order in the conference might be. We’re now ten weeks into this thing and the pecking order is becoming more and more clear as the results come in.
