BERLIN, CT (WFSB) - An animal hospital in Berlin was forced to close for the week because of a fire. The Animal Hospital of Berlin said that the fire happened on Saturday, but not in its facility. However, it said it did happen in the same building at one of the businesses. It said the hospital experienced smoke and water damage.

Two animals were saved from a commercial building’s damaging fire Saturday, according to Berlin fire officials. Fire crews were dispatched around 4:44 p.m. to 369 New Britain Rd. for report of smoke from the second floor of the commercial building there.
