Alabama women’s basketball is already receiving recognition to start the 2024-25 season. For the first time in 25 years, the Crimson Tide is ranked in the AP top 25 preseason poll. Alabama owns the No. 24 spot.

According to Alabama Athletics, “Hoops on the Loop” will take place in front of Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Stadium Drive on Oct. 25. The free outing will start at 7:45 p.m. after the homecoming pep rally.

New conference additions Texas and Oklahoma give the SEC seven teams in the Top 25. Joining them are South Carolina, LSU, No. 20 Ole Miss, No. 22 Kentucky and Alabama. The ACC and Big Ten each have six ranked teams while the Big 12 has four. UConn and Creighton give the Big East two teams.
