Kansas City, Kansas, police are investigating after an early morning homicide Wednesday. Police were called to a home in the 1600 block of South Valley Street around 2:30 a.m. When officers arrived, they said they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds in a home.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - Around 2:30 Wednesday morning, Jan. 22, Kansas City, Kansas police responded to calls from a home reporting a man shot and killed. The house sits due east of the 18th Street Expressway and Metropolitan Ave. and just south of the Kaw River. Upon arrival, the man was found shot and killed inside the home.

Police found a man who had been shot and killed near Ruby Avenue and South Valley. He is an adult male.

Authorities say a man was walking in the crosswalk at Truman Road and Bennington Avenue around 11pm when he was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle left the crash scene and police are working to identify and track down the vehicle and the driver.
