Once a superpopular tool for people wanting to research their ancestry, genetic testing company 23andMe is floundering, with copious losses and a rock-bottom stock price. The heat on the South San Francisco company intensified in September when CEO Anne Wojcicki wrote in a federal filing that she’d be open to takeovers.
