As the inauguration of Donald Trump looms, many residents of the District of Columbia are anxious about how members of the Metropolitan Police Department will ensure that the incoming president is safe.

Nearly a year ago, the VBPD says they received a request from the Washington Metropolitan Police Department to assist with security efforts during this occasion.

Although the inauguration ceremony for President-elect Donald Trump was moved​ into the highly fortified and secured U.S. Capitol, helicopters will still be a key tool for D.C. Police.
