River schools community is mourning the loss of a 6th-grade student who unexpectedly died Thursday, police say.

FALL RIVER — The community at Morton Middle School is mourning the loss of one of their students. In an email sent Thursday, Oct. 3, to parents and guardians, Principal Nicholas Bettencourt informed Morton families of the sudden passing of a sixth-grader "following a medical emergency."
