Openers Brandon King and Evin Lewis scored half-centuries and shared a 107-run stand in 55 balls to guide West Indies to a five-wicket win over Sri Lanka in the first of their three Twenty20 matches.

A breathtaking display of power-hitting from Brandon King and Evin Lewis propelled the West Indies to a commanding five-wicket victory in the first T20 against Sri Lanka on Sunday.

West Indies opted to bowl first after winning the toss and skipper Charith Asalanka and all-rounder Kamindu Mendis in the form of his life helped Sri Lanka get to 179. However, the West Indies openers came out all guns blazing and killed their chase with their century stand.
