Disney's process to identify CEO Bob Iger's successor will officially include external candidates as well as four current executives.

Gorman is executive chairman of Morgan Stanley and as previously announced he will be stepping down from that role on Dec. 31, 2024. He oversaw the recent succession process at Morgan Stanley, where he had previously served as the firm’s CEO. In August, the board tapped Gorman to lead the CEO succession committee, taking over the role from Parker.

Disney has reportedly set its sights on EA CEO Andrew Wilson to replace Bob Iger. Wilson is considered a front-runner for the job due to his 24-year tenure as CEO at EA. Bob Iger will step down in 2026 after previously coming out of retirement to lead Disney.
