The US and Canada look to be coordinating their probes into the alleged role of India-linked agents in the plot against two Khalistani terrorists. While India is cooperating with the US in the Gurpatwant Singh Pannun probe,

India has rejected the Canadian accusations as “absurd and politically motivated” but has been more accommodating of US requests on information and action.

Indian envoy Sanjay Kumar Verma states Canada has not provided evidence in the Nijjar case, calling Ottawa's charges politically motivated.
