Thousands across California have already had their power cut due to increased wildfire risks, and many more could soon experience the safety shutoffs.

Stronger gusts reaching up to 50 mph could hit the LA valley and mountain areas Friday afternoon through the night, according to the NWS

"Red flag Warnings span from Kansas to Minnesota and reiterate the potential for fires to spread rapidly," the NWS said.
