A drag queen story hour in Somerville had to be canceled on Saturday due to a bomb threat. According to the Boston Globe, there were protestors and counter-protestors outside of the Central Library before the event was cancelled. The Cambridge bomb squad responded and searched the building but said there was no bomb.

St. Louis County Schools confirmed that they received an anonymous message Monday morning about bombing the South Ridge School. The message came in over the weekend. Superintendent Reggie Engebritson said they notified law enforcement immediately, and closed the school so they can be sure the building is safe for students and staff.

Subsequently, a bomb threat forced the evacuation of the library and the cancellation of the story hour. No bomb was found but the threat has prompted a police investigation. It remains unclear if the threat was related to the protests and police have not yet determined if the threat was a hate crime.

The threat came in around the time that the story hour was set to begin Saturday afternoon at the city's central library, according to a city official.
