In response, the company lowered its U.S. profit forecast and announced closures aimed at improving operating income by $30 million this year and adding $110 million to its annual run rate.

It looks like a tough bump in the road for 7-Eleven. Seven & i Holdings, the parent company of the convenience store chain, announced this week that it would be closing more than 400 stores throughout the country, according to a report in USA Today.

The parent company of 7-eleven said that the 444 stores marked for closure out of the 13,000 locations in the U.S. and Canada were “underperforming.”

Eleven plans to close 444 stores in North America, but did not indicate if any on the list would be in Michigan.
