In line with its strategy to grow its long-term LNG sales, TotalEnergies announced the signing of a Heads of Agreement (HoA) with HD Hyundai Chemical for the delivery of 200,000 tpy of LNG for 7 years starting from 2027.

TotalEnergies has signed a heads of agreement (HoA) with HD Hyundai Chemical to supply 200,000 tonnes/year of LNG for 7 years starting from 2027. With prices indexed both to Brent and Henry Hub, TotalEnergies strengthens its position in South Korea, the world’s third-largest LNG importing country, the operator said in a release Sept. 24.

This agreement allows TotalEnergies to strengthen a long-term presence in the Turkish LNG market. Natural gas plays a crucial role as a transition energy, addressing the intermittency of renewable energy sources and reducing emissions by replacing coal in electricity generation.
