Lithuania has signed a memorandum of understanding with Northrop Grumman Corporation for the development of an ammunition plant in the Baltic country that could also benefit Ukraine, the government and U.

One of the world’s largest weapons manufacturers Northrop Grumman Corporation hopes to build an ammunition production line in Lithuania to strengthen the Baltic nation’s defense industry.

Northrop Grumman (NYSE:NOC) seeks to build an ammunition plant in Lithuania that would boost the Baltic country’s defense industry. The U.S. defense contractor on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding with Lithuania’s government to make 30-millimeter shells at an existing state-owned facility.

Lithuania has signed a deal with US ammunition producer Northrop Grumman to enhance its defense capabilities in light of Russia's war in Ukraine. The agreement includes development and supply of medium-caliber ammunition.
