Vice President Kamala Harris told Oprah Winfrey Thursday that any intruder who breaks into her home is "getting shot" in what appeared to be a joke.

Vice President Kamala Harris surprised billionaire entrepreneur Oprah Winfrey during a campaign event Thursday with her comments about being a gun owner.

In a livestream event recorded in Farmington Hills, Winfrey hosted a 90-minute sit-down session with the vice president on Thursday, Sept. 19.

If somebody breaks into my house, they’re getting shot,” she said, laughing. “I probably should not have said that. My staff will deal with that later.”
