Disney World fans have fumed over “obscene” prices at a new cake shop opening up at Disney ’s Boardwalk in Florida, with prices for a slice of cake reaching up to $26 (£19), much higher than its other stores outside of the park.

Gavin Doyle, creator of the Mickey Visit Disney World Crowd Calendar told DailyMail.com that the Cake Bake menu is stirring up fans because its prices are significantly higher than the chain's other locations in Broad Ripple Village and Carmel in Indiana, as well as other restaurants serving comparable food at the park.

The menu was posted outside the bakery, which is not owned by Disney, showing prices that include a slice of cake starting at $22.

Disney is being criticized for the menu pricing of the new Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers. Many are pointing out that the pricing is up to 50% higher at the Disney location than at other locations.
