Alison Hammond caused chaos when she took a dramatic tumble from a worktop in The Great British Bake Off tent, causing hilarity among viewers. Series 15 of the popular Channel 4 show has been rife with controversy as contestants have abruptly quit and fainted, while incredibly popular and talented bakers have also been eliminated.

The Great British Bake Off took a rather dramatic turn on Tuesday (12 November) after Alison Hammond took a tumble in the tent. Trying to lighten the mood in the tent during the blind challenge, Alison wanted to practice some dance moves, but they didn't go exactly as planned.

Halfway through the episode, Alison – who presents the show alongside Noel Fielding – strutted into the tent, as she wanted to bring a bit of “happiness” to the bakers, before perching on one of the stations as she looked across the floor.

Alison Hammond's fall not even halfway into the Great British Bake Off's week eight caused chaos in the tent. The host, 49, attempted to "add some happiness" to the technical challenge — a banoffee pie as part of the 70s-themed week — by getting up onto one of the benches.
