Bengaluru police are investigating the gruesome murder of Mahalakshmi, whose dismembered body was found in her home. The suspect, reportedly a friend from an eastern state, has confessed to a family member and is believed to be hiding in West Bengal.

Police, on Sunday, said that they have detained and questioned multiple suspects and formed four special teams to probe the brutal murder of a 29-year-old woman, whose body was found dismembered and stashed in a refrigerator in the Malleshwaram area,

The murder of 29-year-old Mahalakshmi in Bengaluru has shocked the community. Authorities are pursuing a suspect believed to have dismembered her body, raising concerns about personal safety.

According to the mother, Mahalakshmi had told her over the phone on September 2 that she would visit her husband soon. That was the last communication between the mother and the daughter.

Mahalakshmi's body was reportedly cut into 30 pieces and stored in the fridge for many days before being discovered by her landlord and family

In Bengaluru, Mahalakshmi's family has identified four individuals, including Ashraf, as suspects in her brutal murder. Hemant Das, her estranged husband, discovered her remains and previously filed a complaint against Ashraf.
