A favorite with families, this year-round Aspen resort means biking and hiking in the summer, and downhill and cross-country skiing in the winter.

We had a great time with our family. Everyone from 5 to 74 years old enjoyed the experience. Our guide Nick was especially helpful with entertaining the kids. Spencer was very personable and shared a… Full review by Kerrie D

Beautiful place, all the adult kids loved the snowboarding. We found some great places to eat, the shopping was expensive. Very expensive place but we loved it. I am offering thoughts on the train… Full review by jennymI8522ST

Awesome snow and best I have seen. It is a lot more expensive than Canada but it is super quiet. Not much lines and lots of powder. Trails have a lot of options and food also has simple to expensive.… Full review by troyt744
Have a 9 year daughter that’s never skied but is an ice skater. Where’s the best place for her to learn? I’m not a good skier either.

Are you going to Snowmass? I would just put her into alinachool for two days. She will be like a pro on day three. Did that with my girls one was a gymnast, the other a figure skater. They skied for a full day with us and never missed a beat! The ski school will put them on the right runs. You should do that too. Best way to learn properly.
Hi everybody. we're mostly green/easiest blue skiers. what are the easiest blues on snowmass?

First and foremost all of the blues on the Snowmass mountain are relatively easy, but be careful, any blues that lead you under the chairlift are not the ones you want because everything under the chair lift Most under the Big Burn Lift such as: Sheer Bliss Dallas Freeway Micks Gulley Everything on ELK. Camp Lift are quite easy. Everything on Alpine Springs is pretty easy.
Hello, I would like to know how Aspen/Snowmass compares to Whistler. We have skied Whistler twice and love the variety of runs and the gorgeous village to stroll through at night. We are looking for ski resort in Colorado for our next family ski trip. Any recommendations appreciated :)

Have been to both and there are similarities that you would like at Snowmass for a family. It is a large spread mtn with tons of intermediate runs that have restaurant decks at almost each lift area. The majority of Snowmass lodging is pretty much ski in/out to some degree and very skier friendly. There are also advanced/expert areas open if the snowpack is good...(which this year it hasn't been). Getting to the other three mtns if lodging in Snowmass is kinda a hassle even though they are all nearby and 10-15 minutes from the airport...i.e. Aspen Highlands bus does not leave until 9 am, and most that are hiking to the bowl are already on the mtn. Nightlife in Aspen is more like Whistler, so going over for dinner is a good option. There is something for everybody at Snowmass including park/pipe and great beginner instruction classes. Lodging at the Viceroy is the closest to Chateau Whistler if that helps. Vail would be my other comparison to Whistler, and probably a closer match of what you are looking for in a more Euro style, esp the village :)
